m00n
Ok, so to upgrade my existing RS3-IIs up to CS7 is going to cost me an aditional $369.00. Is it worth it. I really like the idea of having R-7's all the way around, but not sure if exchaning the RSs is worth the money. Reason I'm asking is because I have not heard them. But am willing to take the advise of someone who knows how they sound compaied to each other. Anyone? ------------------ the m00n system RF-7 Front floors RC-7 Center RS-3II Surrounds (My update to RS-7) RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f> This message has been edited by m00n on 04-29-2002 at 03:55 PM

m00n
how much are you willing to pay? I have a local authorized dealer here in town willing to give me $400.00 for them. They are only 1-1/2 weeks old. Very little milage on them. Not sure it would be all the worth it to you after you pay for shipping and all. ------------------ the m00n system RF-7 Front floors RC-7 Center RS-3II Surrounds (My update to RS-7) RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f> This message has been edited by m00n on 04-29-2002 at 04:37 PM
skonopa
For speakers that new, can't you just do a straigt up exchange from the RS-3s to the RS-7s? I know Tweeters will let me do that up to a YEAR after the original puchase! At least for 30 days, don't they have an exchange/refund policy. I used it several times while deciding what I wanted for surrounds - ended up exchanging the SS-1s for the RS-3s (and paying the extra $150 in cost). Of course, they'll only exchange them for what you paid them in the first place. ------------------ Steven Konopa Fredericksburg, VA Another proud member of the "Klipsch Klub". m00n
Well, I could have taken them back upto 10 days. Well it's past that now. Plus this store does not sell the RS-7s so it would have been a special order and he said he would not be able to give me much of a discount. Something like $30.00. Pft I said. So I called another store, he is willing to buy them and give me a decent discount. ------------------ the m00n system RF-7 Front floors RC-7 Center RS-3II Surrounds (May update to RS-7) RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
whell
Might not be worth it. Frankly, I think that, unless you listen to DVD's regularly, particularly DVD Audio, that you're probably well enough served by the RC-3II. ------------------ Mike - Livonia, MI Klipsch RF-3 L/R Klipsch RC-3 Center Klipsch RB-5 rears HSU Research VF-2 Sub Marantz SR-19EX receiver Marantz MM-9000 Amp NAD T550 DVD Adcom GCD 700 CD
