seanboon
My son stuck a toy car up the hole in the ProMedia subwoofer. Is there an easy way to open it up. There about 15-20 screws on the back and I took off the ones on the corner and I'm not sure that there is actually access to the inside if I take all the screws off. Can someone confirm if there's a way to get inside. Thanks, Sean
Panacea Engineering
Remove all of the screws around the perimeter of the plate amp and ease it out, you will probably have to pull the tabs for the woofer leads and this should give you access. I don't have the 2.1 but I have been inside the 5.1's many times. Your amp just has less channels but I am pretty sure the plate is the same size. The screws on mine are very small Phillips and are easy to strip if you do not use the correct size Phillips head. Battery drill makes this a snap. Good Luck, W. C. DrWho
Ya, only remove the screws around the perimeter. There is a gasket that can get sticky, especially with age, so it'll take some doing to break the seal. I find it's easiest to give the power cord a sharp jerk.
