Rhetor
Where is a good source to get the insulating sleeves to put over the wires on the caps that are exposed when you replace old caps with new caps on crossovers?
Guest " "
multi color heat shrink on ebay. when you buy...make sure the seller is clear on size....is his size the pre or post shrink size?
WMcD
Last time I visited one of their stores, Radio Shack carried a bag of assorted sizes. Buying an assortment off a local shelf like this is probably cheaper than paying shipping and guessing about the size. WMcD
T.H.E. Droid
I keep my old wire trimmings and use the stripped off insulation-- just slide it over the wires. Often you can get good chunks of old automotive wire harness for very cheap at a junkyard. Hekuva lot cheaper than shrink tubing.

That is what I did, though the ideas are so good, gonna pick some up at RS next time I'm out. Thanks everybody, recapped crossovers for the very first time . . . recapped two sets (4 in all) of AA crossovers, one set for my new old La Scalas and one set for my new old Klipschorns. Of course, I destroyed two 2mf caps on the process (burnt one with soldering iron, broke one wire off at cap base) . . . Will have to wait on the new ones to arrive to recap the Heresys I picked up. Thanks!
