Fizzlemizzle Posted March 26, 2012 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Hey guys, I bought a pair KLF-20s off of craigslist a few weeks ago for a system in my smallish bedroom. Last night I was looking for a receiver to power them. I found a Yamaha DPS-A1 for what seemed like a ridiculous price and jumped on it since I don't need or care about video inputs. This thing is pretty damn big and heavy, the build quality is apparent the first time you pick it up. It is so heavy I'm not putting it on the top shelf of my tv stand, it's on the middle shelf and It BARELY fits. I can't wait to listen and I have high hopes. When I purchased my rf-5s I bought a yamaha rx-v659 and the amplifier section is overbuilt and way exceeds rated specs. Anyway, just wanted to share with you guys and if anyone has any experience with one or things I should know I would appreciate input. finallygotmyheresies Posted March 26, 2012 Share Posted March 26, 2012 I used a DSP A1 for 5+ years and it was great for me. I never had any issues at all but I always made sure that it had good ventilation, I don't remember it getting hot but maybe just a little warm.If you got it for $200 or less then you got a good deal. finallygotmyheresies Posted March 26, 2012 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Harmony One is a real kick *** remote and you can almost always find them refurbished through logitech for 99.99 Even if you don't have a good remote for it that's a killer deal.
