EV recommends an 800 Hz crossover if you are wishing to keep to the coverage angle specifications (e.g., '800 Hz beamwidth limited' minimum recommended crossover frequency). -M Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sunnysal Posted August 31, 2012 Share Posted August 31, 2012 yeah could be, I hadn´t checked the data sheet, my comments were from memory of using them in PA systems and crossing over at 800hz, could have been to protect them from overload I guess, I remember them beging used with the DH1506 a LOT which also was specified as going to 500hz but usually were crossed over higher at 800hz for the same reasons. nice horn and driver though IIRC.
