brkitup Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 Hi everyone. I come from the DIY community, but recently had the chance to buy a pair of KG 3.2s. Of course the first thing I did was open them up to see what the insides look like. Unfortunately, I can't identify all the values of the crossover parts, and I haven't been able to find a schematic anywhere online. I'd really like to rebuild the crossovers, and possibly get the titanium tweeter upgrade from Crites. As far as I can tell, the tweeter has a 3rd order network and the woofer is 2nd order, but the values suggest the crossover points are 900 and 3000 Hz. That's a huge gap, so I think I'm missing something. I'm also not sure what value the woofer's iron-core inductor is. Thanks for any help.
