yRaz Posted December 23, 2012 Share Posted December 23, 2012 I've got a few problems, but I love the speakers so much I simply don't want to part with them. I have the original version, I've heard the put out a different version of the promedia 2.1 but don't indicated it anywhere, even the product codes were the same. anyway, to start, I have the typical Din cable problem but my control pod is also going bad so I'm just going to buy a new one. The cables that plug into the speakers are broken. They have speaker wire on one end but the connection to the satellites is what I assume some type of mono audio jack. Then, the last problem I have is that there is bracket on the back of the sub. The red bracket for the right satellite broke, so it needs replaced. After taking it apart It seems like a very easy repair. I've already had to do things such as replace the main fuse and the internal one for the left satellite. My brother didn't understand the concept of ohms and hooked his speakers up expecting to use it as just an amp. I believe I got these in 2007 and they have survived 4 moves and constant switching from room to room. I'm worried about getting the second version and it just seems cheaper to replace these parts. Can anyone one point me in the direction of getting some if not all of these parts? I'd really hate to throw away otherwise good speakers.
