Question for Alex

I know something about loudspeakers, but don't know squat about IE headphones -- except that Iike them a lot.

Something that has me stumped is all of the different types of tips people use, not just the ones that come in the box, but all of the after market brands/types that are available. Is it acceptable to use after market tips, or will this cause aberrations in response and/or increase distortion?

Well, certain after-market tips won't even fit on our headphones. You have to be careful. We have a very good relationship with Comply Foam (http://www.complyfoam.com/) and they make some great tips for all of our in-ear headphones. It is totally acceptable to use these.

We put A LOT of research behind the shape, size, materials of our in-ear tips and we believe they will provide the best isolation and quality for our in-ear headphones. We do acknowledge that everyone's ear tips are different. That's why we offer a variety of tips with our products...but we know that a select few will not like any of our tips and go with Comply Foam. Everyone's ears are different. That's the reality of the situation.
