Tube Bargain

Bought some Russian Military Old stock 7189 (heavy duty 6BQ5/EL84) can't remember the russian number for them. A bunch of the folks at the HH Scott forum kept swearing by them so I had to try some. I scored a deal of $85 shipped for 20 and let me tell you I easily matched 5 sets with my Hickok and they all scored great better than any of the Old Stock Teles or Amperexs I have around. The sound well let me tell you I'm hard pressed to hear any difference so far ! If anything there slighty harsher then my Teles or amperexs and way better than JJ's. Anyway's thought I would share this find for everyone that uses 6BQ5/EL84/7189s out there at $4 a tube these are a steal. The folks at HH Scott forum have used these for over a year without incedent so they are reliable.

They can be had off ebay all the time for a Song just search 7189A or 6BQ5.

Yea there neat looking but ...... the first one is mono (good luck finding a mate) I only see one output tranny and I don't believe its HH Scott everything they ever made had the HH Scott emblem on it somewhere and would never have all the extra stuff on it. I also see special hookups and no speaker terminals.

The second is a EH Scott radio this will go for big bucks and is in no way connected to HH Scott.
