k2dx
Just aquired another old khorn, and am trying to date the crossover and speaker. The older gentleman, its second owner, believed it to be around '55. Bass bin made by Brociner laboratories in NYC under license from Klipsch, #145(?). Model Klipsch K-3-B. Woofer is Klipsch K 33 P, #3020. Squawker is Klipsch K5, #103, dated '48, with the ribs in the throat. Driver University SAHF. Tweeter is University mid t/4401. Crossover is Klipsch 500/5000 with long metal tag for the terminals and nameplate. Stamped "W6". Paper tag on top says "inspected by J.R.Jxxxxxx". two air core inductors and an iron core (in the center) labeled T2, 3110. It has five terminals, 0-4, with three connections. Three caps, two 5uFd and a 2uFd. Looks "newer" than my other 500/5000 crossovers, which have three air core inductors and four caps. Base is painted flat black. Any one see this crossover before?
