I would seal the holes with green glue our green glue sealant. I may even go nuts and bolts and take woofer out to be sure I don't hit anything. Instead of putting screws into my rb81's then rb 61's I used velcro tape and it works perfectly safe. I just used 2 small squares on the speakers bottoms.
