Do I really need tube amps for my La Scala II's?

Never heard anything from ATI, but they have had their hand in assembling as well as designing other "upper" companies amps as well. I have read some of the ATI higher wattage amps have a better noise floor than many other high dollar names that ended up not being compatible with the Heritage line. I have heard the McIntosh 275 in the past few years running K-horns and I have heard the McIntosh 5 channel MC7205 SS amp just a few weeks ago with K-horns. As much as I would like to have either, changing speakers is a bigger sound changer to my ears than comparing a primo tube or a 100lb SS amp setup to a 35lb AVR Receiver. 1-5 watts out of a "Good" Receiver still sounds pretty darn good to me and to be honest, I don't know if I could distinguish the three given constant levels and I bet some owners may not either once they sat down and actually tried. :)
