wvu_sam
I have a SW-8 subwoofer that I've not used in some time. The front speaker buzzes when it plays. I'm not talking about an electronic hum, but a buzz that goes with the sound being generated. I suspect the K-1012 woofer has gone bad. Is that the most likely cause? I've searched and cannot find any replacements anywhere. Are there any other woofers that would be a compatible replacement if that is what's wrong? Thanks in advance for any pointers. Scrappydue
I would say if it's playing with the sound then yes the woofer is probably blown. Did you call Klipsch about a replacement driver? If they aren't available I would go out and say it would be better to buy a new sub vs hoping a random driver would work in that cabinet. If you wanted something cheap I bought a Martin Logan dynamo 300 from amazon for 119$. It's worth every penny of that. Great little sub for a small room. If you wanna buy new and have a budget let us know we can point you in the right direction.
wvu_sam
Thanks for the reply. We're downsizing so I am looking to sell it. I'll find out how much a replacement driver is and then decide what to do.
