Connecting PC to Sony Home Theater System

Hi Justin,

I have been reading a lot of reviews about PM 5.1. I have a Dell Notebook with Soundblaster Extigy and I am planning to buy Sony Home Theater System. I was wondering if I can hook my home theater system to my extigy for 5.1 d.digital output or would you rather suggest getting PM5.1.

Thanks,

Max

sorry i just saw this.

you are getting the digital dream system from sony? i think that has a digital input on it, so use the digital output from the extigy to connect to the sony system.

I dont like the HTIB solutions from Sony, or just about any one else for that matter.

Nearly EVERY review of the ProMedia v2.400 (the first promedia) said that it beat the HTIB (home theater in a box) systems out there, both in cost and in preformance.

The ProMedia 5.1 is no different. It gets louder and goes lower. Better overall, but there is a new option that will be out shortly.

How much money do you want to spend? I may have something better than the Sony AND ProMedia Wink.gif
