mnayani
Hi Justin, I have been reading a lot of reviews about PM 5.1. I have a Dell Notebook with Soundblaster Extigy and I am planning to buy Sony Home Theater System. I was wondering if I can hook my home theater system to my extigy for 5.1 d.digital output or would you rather suggest getting PM5.1. Thanks, Max
justin_tx_16
sorry i just saw this. you are getting the digital dream system from sony? i think that has a digital input on it, so use the digital output from the extigy to connect to the sony system. ------------------ -justin SoundWise Support A technical help site created by me and my fellow Klipschers promediatech@Klipsch.com /1-888-554-5665 - RA# 800-554-7724 ext 5 s>
mnayani
Thanks Justin for the reply. I still want to know if you consider PM 5.1 than Sony Digital Home Theater System.
justin_tx_16
I dont like the HTIB solutions from Sony, or just about any one else for that matter. Nearly EVERY review of the ProMedia v2.400 (the first promedia) said that it beat the HTIB (home theater in a box) systems out there, both in cost and in preformance. The ProMedia 5.1 is no different. It gets louder and goes lower. Better overall, but there is a new option that will be out shortly. How much money do you want to spend? I may have something better than the Sony AND ProMedia ------------------ -justin SoundWise Support A technical help site created by me and my fellow Klipschers promediatech@Klipsch.com /1-888-554-5665 - RA# 800-554-7724 ext 5 s>

I am planning to spend around $ 1,000.00 but if I can get something really nice then money is not a issue for me.
