Moderators Youthman Posted May 10, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 10, 2014 Hi Wildbrando, welcome to the forums. Biggest difference is between RF-7 and RF-7ii. RF-7 tend to be overly bright and sometimes harsh and ear fatiguing. RF-7ii have a smoother sound, yet still maintaining detail and clarity. I did not hear any audible difference between my RC-64 and my RC-64ii. Same with my previous RS-62 and my RS-62ii. Cosmetics changed a lot. Now the RF-7ii and RC-64 have a solid wood front vs a plastic baffle in the RF-83 and RC-64. Also the speaker grill on the RF-7ii is 3/4 length revealing the wood finish at the bottom.
