mountaindew Posted October 19, 2014 Share Posted October 19, 2014 I bought a used sub 10 and it powers on but I get no sound.I took the bottom speaker off and checked the connections,good.The speaker works.I have to hook it up with the speaker wire connections because my receiver doesnt have a sub terminal.Im thinking maybe I dont have the wires connected correctly.Any sugestions. CECAA850 Posted October 20, 2014 Share Posted October 20, 2014 You can purchase a different plate amp to replace the defective one. The trouble is that you're not going to find one that is the exact same size as the one you have. You'll either have to modify the amp or the opening in the sub to make it work. You can also remove the amp from the sub and make a plate the exact same size as the opening in the sub. You then put wire terminals on it and use an external amp to power the driver in the sub.
