I was wondering if there are any plugins for winamp, or alternate players (other than power dvd) which would allow for 5.1 channel surround sound with mp3s and cd audio. Thanks! tpg Posted August 7, 2002 Share Posted August 7, 2002 What soundcard are you using? All 5.1 cards have their own virtual 5.1 matrixer. The Creative cards matrixer is the worst sounding, but the cards perform well everywhere else. Cards like the Santa Cruz, Game Theatre XP, and Acoustoc Edge have the best matrixers.
