yeahs
Hi everyone, first message here.Would ask to you Klipsch Masters if replacing a pair of k-79-k with a pair of k-84-k is a reasonable thing to do on a Kp250. I got into a pair of kp250, but there are no tweeters and i can get a k84's pair for less than 100$. K-79-k it's about 200$ here in Italy. Thank to everyone that will help. OO1
nope - wrong choice - the K 79 magnet is much bigger in order to handle the power handling of the kp250 - the k79 is the the bigger magnet made from klipsch while the k84 is much -much smaller - they both use the same diaphragm -SIMPLY PUT - you will blow the diaphragms on the k84 with the power handling of the k79 Edited March 14, 2015 by Randyh
djk
If the magnet is smaller it's less efficient too.
