Decadent_Spectre
What drivers are used in these? What are the T/S specs? Is there a frequency/phase response and distortion plot available? I'd appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this as I could not find any information on them.

Decadent_Spectre
Thanks Chris, could you please point me to the T/S specs and frequency/phase/distortion plots? I could not find them. Edited April 29, 2015 by Decadent_Spectre
Chris A
Sorry. See https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/151516-wtb-klipsch-woofers-k-45-ep/ You could politely ask Chief Bonehead, but there's no guarantee that he can or will disclose the Thiele/Small parameters for that driver. Decadent_Spectre
Klipsch does not publish the T/S of their drivers like JBL does?
Chris A
JBL manufactures their drivers. Klipsch, by-and-large, buys theirs. There's a long history of that policy that PWK started a long, long time ago (1940s) that didn't change. My guess is that PWK wanted to be in the loudspeaker business--not the driver manufacturing business. JBL/HK has a long history of making drivers and a shorter history of making loudspeakers. Decadent_Spectre
A quick google suggests that Klipsch drivers are made by Eminence, browsing the Eminence site it would seem that at least the cone on the Klipsch drivers in the 415 are very similar to the cone of the Kappalite 3015LF. If they do not publish the driver T/S maybe there are frequency etc measurements for the 415 cabinet? Either proivided by Klipsch or by an enthusiast/third party? I did come across a few responses for the Jubilee but not for the 415. Is there any information on how the Klipsch drivers compare to other choices like the AE TD15M or the JBL 2226H? Chris A
Another closely related driver: the K-33 (which is found in the Khorn, La Scala, Belle, and Cornwall): https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/148475-k-33-e-vs-k-33-b-specs-anybody-have-factory-measured-ts-data/page-
Chris A
A very brief glimpse of the K-45 driver relationship to the K-43 driver: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/68399-whats-the-diffrence-k-43-k-45/
