The output devices commonly available for a class AB amplifier can only handle about 7A peak before the gain takes a nosedive. That would be 5A RMS, or 100W/4Ω. 5A into 8Ω is 200W, but the amp will overheat before one pair of outputs will handle it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
