KlipschTony
Title says it all. I have a pair of Klipsch Forte 2's that I want to bring back from the dead. Both rear passive radiator dust caps are pushed in. If two radiators KD-15 radiators are available for sale - I'm interested. One radiator, sadly, has a tear, so I would at least like to replace that one. I really don't want to try to re coning it. I called Klipsch parts department, and they don't have any, due to their age. Also tried Ebay as well. Send me a pm is you have one or two in good condition or better, with no tears; or if you know where I can obtain these. Thanks for your time! colterphoto1
dented dust caps don't affect sound and can frequently be pulled out by vacuum cleaner or pricking a small hole with pin and gently working it out. Tears can be mended.
mwells
I am not sure what they charge, but I think SimplySpeakers can do a good re-cone for you on the damaged one. Good advice above on pulling the caps out.
KlipschTony
Okay, thanks guys. After posting this, I read up more on the dented dust caps, which seem to happen a lot. I just might have to try SimplySpeakers for a re-cone, if I can't replace the radiator. Thanks so far for the info...
