dkoc
Hello, I just picked up a pair of R-15PM's and they look really awesome! I'm connecting them to an Audio-Technica 120 and this TT has a preamp build in, so there is a Phono/Line selector on the back of the TT as well as a similar Phono/Line selector on the Powered Monitors. Could someone tell me if I am to put both switches to Phono, or both to Line? Or a combination of both? Thank you

Jay L
If you want to use an external preamp to the R-15PM, then put the switch on LINE. If you want to turn OFF the preamp in your TT, then set the switch to PHONO on the R-15PM. I suspect the preamp in the R-15PM is better than the one built into your turn table. Never feed a LINE level signal into a PHONO preamp, it will overdrive the circuit and possibly break it if driven hard enough.
