LaScala woofer question

I recently aquired a set of LaScala's and I want to replace the internal white/striped wire with a larger guage of wire. My question is the wire that goes from the woofer compartment to the tweeter/mid compartment.

The wire is looped, is there a reason why this is done?????

Also any opinions on whether to go with solid wire or stranded???

i saw this post never got a reply,,,,so my guess is the wire is looped to help with the hooking it to the woofer...or maybe just a little to long,,,,,you can make it any length you want,,,,,just keep it away from the woofer so it doesnt vibrate on it...maybe hdbr can help on this to,,,,,rick..ps did you do the gripper thing on yours yet ...if they are on hard floor it helps a lot
