prodj101
hmm, the new klipsch are 2.5 ways eh? I always liked how the up to date klipsch were mainly 2 way speakers. Nice and simple. I'm not a huge fan of 3 way speakers, as they have to cost a ton to have good cross overs. 2 ways just seem to do the job the same to me, and I figure, same, I just don't think there is a need for anything more than a 2 way. ------------------ New music system: 2.1 using SF-2's (soon to be RF-7's), and an RSW-15. for amplification Mcintosh MC02105, B&K PT-3 preamp, Sony SACD player. pioneer turntable. boa12
oh, thanks prod. so that will be the big dif animal thing. well the rc-3 & rc-7 already use the tapered array - 2.5 way. so if they all use that then there you have your differentiated thx-HT speaks. looks like some info on them is leaking out after all. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
Guest BobG
I guess you can decide to prefer 2-way or 3-way design but we try to base design on performance rather than on widely held belief. The 2.5 way offers pattern control and interference benefits that cannot be ignored in some applications.
