erikjohn
Upon installing my new recently aquired Yam RX-V1 the picture on my TV has faint verticle lines spaced probably about 2" apart all the way across the screen. It almost makes the picture look a little grainy. The lines are perfectly verticle and do not modulate.(I think that what I am trying to say ie they are static) As I said they are faint but it appears that the lines are being either introduced from the RX-V1 or the amp is amplifying existing interference in the signal from the DishNet S-VHS out. When I hook up the Dish direct to the TV the lines are not there which leads me to believe the RX-V1 is the culprate. Again the lines are not obvious but definitely noticeable. All of my cables are decent quality. Does anyone know what could be causing this? ------------------ K-horn's(Main) Cornwall's(Rear) Heresey's(Center) KSW-12(Sub) Yamaha HTR 5150 61" Hitachi WIDESCREEN Dish Net w/Opt Out Xbox w/Comp Out(DVD) JVC S-VHS Pioneer 6 Disk CD Sony Minidisk ------------------------- Can you hear me now? dougdrake
Sounds to me like you've done a good job of problem source identification. Have you tried a different input jack on the Yammy? Sounds like it might be a warranty issue. Airpirate CVG
This looks like a new purchase. Don't mess around exchange your receiver you'll regret it if you don't. Yamaha makes a good product it must be a fluke.
