DUANE GAZZIGLI
I recently ordered a pair of RF-7 speakers and am looking for some advice on bi amping them. I will be running two carver m1.0t amps @ 200 watts per channel. I am thinking of either using one to power my main speakers, the RF-7's and the other to power my rear surround speakers RP-28's. Or using the internal amp on my Yamaha surround processer at 150 watts per channel to power the rear surround and using both Carver amps to run the RF-7's. Any advice? derrickdj1
Basically, you can do it either way without much difference between the two. Many of us are not Bi-amping our RF 7 or 7 II speakers. The surrounds almost 100% of the time don't need as much amplification as the mains. Some of this depends on what happens when multi-channels are driven off the avr and how much power is lost per ch.
