Brant Hollingsworth
Just got new speakers and trying to connect them to new Audio-Technical LP 120 turntable. I used the rca cables and supplied speaker wires and ran them between speakers. I've set up the arm on the turntable 3 times to ensure the problem is not on that end. When playing record I can hear it but just barely. Volume is turned on and volumn is up because I can hear record noise but music is very faint. is there anything I can do to check to ensure the speakers are working and connected properly? Thank you
TomR
you might have to buy a turntable adapter for it
KitNorrie
I see you've got the switch on the back of the R-15PM set to phono. Have you tried switching it to line and turning on the preamp on the LP-120 instead (setting the switch on it to line)?
Keith_M
Does your turntable have the wrong kind of cartridge? Although I haven't connected a turntable to ours, I believe that the speaker's phono preamp is designed for moving magnet cartridges, not moving coil ones.
