kenratboy
Our school has a new, updated full-range PA (like woofers, tweeters, not a paging horn) in the big gym. We had a assembly (glad I brought a book to read) and here is what the system was doing: -Clipping, clipping, and more clipping. -Woofers noticibly bottoming out. -Sound Guard (JBL Venue Series) circuit breaker blowing on all the tweeters. Well, it is my school and we need new computers, so I didn't want to see them fry the things, so I told the new principle (who is VERY serious about saving money) that the assembly had probably taken a 1000 hours off the system life, it got his attention. He said he will have the installer company come out and make sure the system cannot be played too loud. The school AND the pro audio god owe me one. Now, for those new computers...
