AzNLiLkD76 Posted October 4, 2002 Share Posted October 4, 2002 I recently bought a 4.1 promedia set and hooked it up with my santa cruz turtle beach sound card. I noticed that there was a 5.1 option on the sound card and i was wondering if i could hook up the 4.1 promedias as well as leave my old speakers plugged into the center channel input without any risk of blowing anything out. justin_tx_16 Posted October 5, 2002 Share Posted October 5, 2002 you would not blow anything out, but hwo knows how the speakers would match in sound. sometimes mixing speakers makes everything sound like crud. i would not worry about it. the 4.1's do a terrific phantom center.
