gsoneill@citlink.net
howdy all. i've lost a few of the #6 flat head screws for the binding post(s) on my 1977 cornwalls. Does anybody have any idea where i might be able to source some? i have checked my local rat shack and hardware store. thanks in advance. Good2BHome
Suggest you extend your search area for a better hardware store. I would suggest Home Depot? I would also suggest that you ask for stainless steel ones. Mike
dougdrake
I've found Ace Hardware seems to have all kinds of fasteners, usually a better selection than HD or Lowe's... Doug
Malcolm
Simplest solution might be to buy some barrier strips at your local RadioShack. Remove the screws and use them in your Cornwalls and throw the rest away.
Dflip
Another solution: Put 5 way binding posts about 2 inches up from the bottom of your speakers. This would allow you to make a better connection and use thicker speaker wire. All you need is a drill to make the new hole, a wrench to tighten the connection at the back, a longer piece of wire to reach the new lower connection and a soldering iron to join the longer wire to the binding post on the inside of the Cornwalls.
