Al Klappenberger
Hi Guys, Some users of my network have asked about the use of 8 Ohm squawker drivers. Here's the transformer tap settings for 8 Ohms drivers. The 10 Ohm swamping resistor does NOT have to be changed. These are actual measured values: Setting, dB attanuation 5-1, 3.3 dB 4-0, 3.8 5-2, 4.6 4-x, 6.2 < settings 3-0, 6.8 < for best 4-1, 7.4 < Zo match 2-0, 9.5 3-x, 10.4 1-0, 12.4 4-3, 14.0 Al K. BTW: I would like to express my thanks to all who have purchsed networks from me. I have just started building my 100Th set! I never would have believe that these would be so well received. The initial intent was to build a set for myself and give the design to anybody who might be interested in building them for themsleves. I never expected it would become an actual ALK Engineering product!
