lynnm
I just got a copy of Tina Turner's Simply The Best CD. I have heard some badly produced recordings in my time but This thing is horrid! Tina, as always was in fine form, but the overall sound was strident and compressed especially in the midrange. Talk about made for TV sound! Yipe!! Any other nominations for The Worst! kenratboy
I know how you feel. I bought a Madonna CD in London (lived there, not like "I am shopping in London...") and is sounded so bad, I just got rid of it! I am glad most of the CD's I get sound good to supurb, even all the techno stuff!!!
jdm56
"Tomorrow's Sounds Today", by Dwight Yoakum: no bass, no dynamic range, and just very flat, AM radio type sound.
kenratboy
Also, worse than that is stuff that is HARSH and BRASH. You simply cannot listen to it above background music levels. Basically, the recording is worthless. Either they have the "smiley face " EQ going, or they just screwed it up big time. Anyway, not pretty stuff.
