Nuuance Posted October 25, 2002 Share Posted October 25, 2002 Klipsch 4.1's, Windows XP, Creative Labs Soundblaster Live! Front speakers are fine, but rears speakers are both working but not in stereo when I test 4 speaker set up. I never had this problem until I last moved and upgraded to XP. I then patched new drivers for the soundcard (I had to because the Audio HQ would crash my pc if I tried to use it). And boom, now I have this problem. I've traced everything, rechecked the manual, gone through every menu I can find. I see only one strange thing. Under advanced audio properties, speaker setup does not have a 4.1 option. It defaults to quadraphonic speakers. There are surround, 5.1 and 7.1 options, but not 4.1. I think I have the right drivers. Any ideas? justin_tx_16 Posted October 26, 2002 Share Posted October 26, 2002 well it is a soundcard problem no doubt. try reinstalling it, completely. remove it and delete everything about it, as long as you can get all the drivers etc. then reinstall.
