Shimei
Have to yet to setup the RP-500SA under a vaulted ceiling [waiting on wiring and connectors]. I'm hoping that the slope of the vaulted ceiling towards the listeners will allow audio presence overhead. Ceiling speakers at this point aren't an option due to the wall bracing behind the dry wall making fishing wire impossible without tearing out drywall. Anyways, I'm powering two RP-500SA with two of the 5 channels from an Emotiva Gen 3 5 Channel. Should be around 300watts rms in 8ohms. I'm thinking I just might get away with placing the Atmos ontop of my towers because of the sheer height of the towers which places them pretty high up in the air 77+ inches. The slope above the listeners can be seen in the second picture. To note, I went with Klipsch over KEF for a couple of reasons 1) I have a history with Klipsch [Tekton only offers inceiling overheads 2) the sensitivity of the Klipsch is much greater than KEF 3) I'm not convinced any difference in sound is going to be noticeable because, after all, we're bouncing sound [reflecting] off a surface. Shimei
Just an updated picture of the Klipsch Atmos uptop the towers. I'm thinking of painting the Atmos enclosures so they aren't so intrusive looking:
