Garry McCarthy
Just got a new Klipsch R-12SW and would like to connect it to my vintage stereo system, which is an NAD 1600 tuner preamp and an NAD 2200 amp. Neither have a sub out, and the R-12SW doesn't have speaker jacks, just line-in jacks. What's the best way to add the subwoofer into my system? My guess would be to plug a "Y" RCA cable into each of the 1600's Pre-Outs, then connect one side of each "Y" to the 2200 and the other side to the subwoofer's Line In jacks. But I'd like to get some input first so nothing goes south on me. Thank you for any assistance!
CECAA850
Yes. You can use pre outs to send a full signal to the subs line in then use the crossover in the subs amp.
