Erick P.
Hello everyone! I am new to the forum. I've had my speakers for a while but never installed a sub. I finally got to add the sub, so now I want to fine tune it to get the best experience when watching movies. I don't know much about setting, crossover, etc. hence my post here. Here is my setup: -Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR-636 -Center: RP-250C -Front: RF-62 II -Surround: RP-240S -Sub: R-12 SW What would be the ideal parameters for this system? Ceptorman
Welcome, have you used the room correction setup built into that AVR? I believe that Onkyo uses it's own setup, and they usually have a good one. Are all your speakers connected and operating?
Erick P.
Hi, all the speakers are connected and operating (even the new sub). But I have not used the receiver room correction setup. I will proceed with that first. Thank you...

A lot of people will manually adjust some speakers or settings after your AVR sets them, so the AVR is kind of like a baseline. Set them to whatever sounds good to you.
