Heresy Amplifier HELP

Hey All,

Pretty new to the audio community and for the longest time have been using average audio equipment but since the lockdown have been spending most of my

time on discovering new audio equipment and its been really exciting. I really love the Heresy 4, love at first sight....I am from Australia currently living in Singapore

where there's no ready stock to demo so its quite hard to actually get down to a store. Instead having been doing lots of reading and you-tubing to get some insights.

I listen to all genres of music and at medium to low levels, mostly streaming but hope to add a turn table sometime later. The set-up will be 85% music with 15%

towards movies. I am hoping to keep things simple and avoid a multitude of boxes and cables. The Heresy's cost close to 6K here so if I do buy them I want to do

them justice without overcomplicating it.

Option 1 - Cambridge Audio CXN V2 for streaming/dac/pre amp duties + Cambridge Audio CXA81 over balanced connection.

The price works and I like the symmetry/aesthetics of the pieces together. Plus the TT & subwoofer(if required in the future) can be directly

connected to the CXA81 easily, I hope 🙂

Option 2 - Cambridge CXN V2 + Schitt Aegir's (still unsure if I need 1 or 2 as monoblocks).

I have never experienced class A amplification but hear good things about it. If I do get 2 Aegir's then I could use the balanced connections from the CXN.

For a future TT addition I found a A/D converter with a phono stage from pro-ject.

Would option 2 match better with the Heresy's without over complicating things ?

If I go ahead with option 2, would I be able to use the line out from the CXN to a subwoofer while the balanced are connected to the Aegir's if I required it ?

Lastly, is there something glaringly obvious I am missing ?

Thanks in advance for your time and apologies for the longish message.
