pmd5498
I cant seem to get my center channel working with media player or winamp. I have the 5.1 pro media speakers. I am running windows xp with a sound blaster audigy sound card. I ran the test feature to test all the speakers to make sure they work and the center channel does produce sound. When i go to play a song on media player or winamp nothing comes from it. I set my speakers settings to 5.1 in windows and with creatives audio headquarters aswell. I even updated winamp and media player along with my drivers and yet nothing. Can someone please help me. I checked the wiring and all aswell. Thanks
justin_tx_16
you will not get 5.1 mp3's unless you turn on CMSS in teh creative software or get another sound card. my site www.soundwise.org shows you how to do this.
DrWho
ya, wrong forum but what the heck does the cmss actually do? (i already know it adds the center channel, but it changes the sound too or something) to me, it sounds like carp, but then again so are my pc speakers so i guess it's better to say it sounds like worse carp. justin_tx_16
First, what is Carp? Carpe as in Seize? Carp as in the fish? It mixes all the channels together, adds a few echoes and then outputs a 5 speaker output...
