Gabriele
I bought two R-41PM and after a subwoofer R-100SW. About the R-41PM dynamic bass (on or off) and a R-100SW crossover frequency is there a suggested setup?
wuzzzer
I would leave dynamic bass off if you're using a subwoofer. Turn the crossover on the sub as high as it'll go so that the speakers provide the crossover point. If the sub sounds too boomy that way, try adjusting the sub's crossover between 80 and 120Hz. Gabriele
Thank you for the reply. I understand that with a subwoofer the R-41PM have to work as satellites, w/o dynamic bass. I have ran some tests using the values of the R-41PM datasheet: Lo frequency is 76Hz w/o dynamic and 66 Hz with. I have ran two tests. W/o dynamic bass, with the xover set at ~80Hz (precise) and w dynamic bass and xover set at 60Hz (more or less). The first setup seems more linear, but in my room, the sub sound becomes too directional. The second seems to be very well blended and the lo-mid range are richest (colored?), but it is very sensitive to the bass levels of the discs a/o music file.
