Jax
I actually prefer the La Scala's without the grill cloth. My vintage 1977 La Scala's are the glossy, laquered birch with black grill cloths that are stapled all around the cloth. It is easy enough to remove the retainer strips, but once I pull out those staples what kind of job will I be faced with in trying to make the face look decent? Is the wood panel facing laquered like the rest of the speaker? Are those staple & nail holes a bear to fill and make invisible? Thanks in advance for any assistance!
