kjohnsonhp Posted December 28, 2002 Share Posted December 28, 2002 Here's a pic of phase 1 of my HT. For surround I have two Heresys on each side wall just behind the chair (not in pic). I plan to put another one behind the chair for 6.1. I'm 9.5' from the front speakers and 6' from the side speakers. My sons have been enjoying the PS2 with this system. Any suggestions for further improvements? For phase 2 I'm replacing the C7 center which I sold this week. I need to upgrade my DVD (Denon 900 or Panasonic RP82?) and I'm waiting for an HDTV DirecTV/TiVO combo box which I hope will be announced at Jan CES similar to the one for DISH. I also want to replace my Cambridge Soundworks sub with an SVS Ultra or PC-Plus. The Outlaw 1050 seems fine for HT. I'm not sure if moving to $2k+ of electronics would be a huge improvement for movies. I have a restored Dyanco St70 tube amp and PAS3 pre-amp which I'll experiment with for music. I'm also chatting on the 2-channel board about improving my music imaging which is highlighting the impact of my RPTV on music imaging--a reason to keep dreaming about a front projection system.
