Grills are in very good condition. Cabinets are in excellent condition with the bare wood. You can leave as is or paint/stain to your liking. I removed the cheesy plastic coating that was starting to crack. These sound great! There are plenty of reviews online. I also have the matching center and surrounds for this system if you are interested in purchasing those for a great package deal. Audition at time of purchase to make sure everything functions to your liking.
