turf101
All four speakers test out fine and seem to be working, but I don't hear anything out of them except when playing DVD's and that sounds awesome. I have a realtec AC97 audio 5.1 audio system on the Motherboard. Can't figure it out. Windows XP. Any suggestions Thanks.
pHEnomIC69
I didn't read your post fully but i recommend going into volume control(double click that yellow speaker in the bottom right corner of your screen) and make sure nothing is muted except for microphone and then you have to make sure the volume is up past half for all of them. Once you get it working thgen you can adjust the volumes.
justin_tx_16
i think the problem is that it is not doing stereo expansion. i am not sure that your sound card CAN do that.
darkpark
my computer, control panel, sounds and audio devices... click on the advanced button. at the bottom, make sure you have selected the type of speaker setup you have. if that does not work, you might wish to find additional configuration utilities for that sound card that's built into your motherboard. either get them from the mobo mfg or see if realtek has their own website. also, don't forget to take a close peak at your motherboard and identify what realtec chip you've got exactly.
