It may be used as an amplifier, preamp, or headphone amplifier. It has been upgraded to Special Edition specs with GE 5670 driver tubes; however I preferred the longer lasting 6P14P-EV power tubes to the Mullards. The power output is 2 x 5 wpc. On my efficient speakers (Forte) and mid-sized room (15x20x8’), the ALPS volume control has never exceeded 10 o’clock. Specs can be found at “glow-audio.com”.
