Screwdriver223
Hi I think the tweeters on the front speakers of my 4.1s are blown... is there a way to check for sure? What can be done? --S
Slaz13
No real way to taste just turn up the music semi loud and really listen. If you listen to one speaker and can hear treble real good then listen to the one you thinks broke you should be able to tell pretty easy. If they are blown just send Amy an email and she'll send you two new satelites.

Screwdriver223
Well, I'm sure Amy is nice, but not THAT nice... my speakers are a yr and a half old. The sound isn't THAT bad, since I still have two of the four tweeters working. Is it possible to only replace the tweeter, or do I have to get completely new satellites? Thanks, --S
GooseChaser
u should call klipsch, I've heard klipsch sells the subwoofers by themselves so why not satellites. what does a blown tweeter sound like?
Screwdriver223
Hmm... I don't think it's the tweeters anymore. I've tried swithing speakers (and wires) as well as reversing the front/rear from my soundcard. The weird sound (which I can best approximate as softer sound in general and esp. weak tweeters) always comes from the same two outputs on the sub. Is it possible I blew a fuse or something in the sub? Should I bring the sub in for repairs? Thanks --S
link626
my 2 rear sats sound like they have blown tweeters too. But the speakers are fine. I think the cable is just bad. So, my guess is the cheapest thing to do first is replace the cable...... as i have yet to do.
