Brian Strong
What exactly are the gold brackects connecting the two sets of binding posts for? I assume it has something to do with bi-amping. If I am not bi-amping should I remove these brackets or leave them on. I ask because I saw a pic of someone's with them removed.
Quenten
Brian The gold plates are used if you are not bi-amping or bi-wiring. As such the signal goes to both the woofer & tweeter. If you were bi-amping, one amp hooked to the bottom connectors would drive the woofer & a second amp connected to the top connectors would drive the tweeter. In bi-wiring you would use the "A & B" speaker outs & go to each of the pair of speaker connections, again remove the bridge. A lot of debate of whether it makes a difference. Most people think bi-amping makes more difference.
USparc
Brian, Still if you are not bi-wiring you shouldn't use those brackets. They may look really nice, but are very bad (for sound). You should use speaker cable, the same you use for connecting the speakers to the amplifier.
