RF-7's Cut Off

I Just Picked up some RF-7's. After the salesman sold me on them he assured me that they would work with my Denon 3803. However now that I am home and hooked them up, the first thing I did was raise the volume and the receiver went into it's safe mode or whatever and shut off. after checking again it turns off at 32DB roughly. Now I really can not turn them up much louder where I am at now but I sure would like to shortly when I move. They don't get nearly as loud as I would like. Did I get fed a line of bull and my receiver won't powere these to the levels I would like. And if so what would I need to do? A seperate amp? Thanks in advance I am really green in the Home Audio Field.

Yeah thanks but I just decided to go back after I posted this and recheck my wiring. I think some were touching because after I reconnected everything it came alive and all I can say is WOW. 3.gif Yeah um I am going back now. Thanks for the quick response though. Much appreciated.
