CrazyBrian
Hello everyone, Yes I am a newbie and Im in need of some veteran support. I am ready to move up from my stereo setup to a 6.1 at least. Now I just dont know what to get and im willing 2000.. So all i have now is a pair of Klipsch KG 4.2's So I know a good center would be either a KG 2.2 or 1.2. But I have no clue what type of recievers sub or rear speakers to get. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, Brian

JewishAMerPrince
If you look for a KG 1.2 or 2.2 make sure it has a suffix of V. This is stands for Video and means the speaker is sheilded. Klipsch made it both ways. A KG2.2V (or KG2.5V) may be hard to locate, but I have found that the Synergy series center and surrounds KSC-C1, SS1) are a good match for the KG 3.5's I have. These are readily found on eBay at resonable prices. The KG's have a lot of warmth so that just about any decent receiver of 75 wpc or better will sound great with them. There are good deals to be had on the internet for a Harkman Kardon AVR 525. The amps in HK receivers are very sweet and make an excellent match for any horn tweeter design speaker. As far as a sub goes,I think the SVS subs give you great boom for the buck. Jerry Rappaport
Diggs
Getting 2 more pairs of 4.2's would be ideal. 2 for surrounds, 1 for front center, and 1 for the rear center.
