Clipped and Shorn
Just curious if anyone has heard the 2000 and if it compares favorably to the original version, aside from price. Is it better? C&S
dbflash
C&S, I have the Planet 2000. I have never heard the original. Mobile has heard both and he liked the older one. I like the one I have. Sorry I can't give you exactly what you wanted. I know www.amusicdirect.com has a demo Planet 2000 for sale. Danny
Kudret
I am also curious to hear any first hand comparison on these two units. I was about to get a first generation Rega Planet, but the deal fell through. Now I found a Rega Planet 2000, which will cost me $125 more, but I am wondering if I should wait for an older Rega. fini
Kudret, Will the planet replace the 5-disc? I own the same Sony, and find it to be a great player. fini
kjohnsonhp
There's a Planet on audiogon for $300. NIce price. I was tempted until I read the testing of the Rega vs the Card Deluxe. I'm now using a PC instead.
Kudret
fini, I also like my CE775 5-disk changer, especially for SACDs, and I intend to keep it. Rega is to see if I can improve the regular CD playback.
