Velodyne CT-150

Hey guys,

I've been speaking to Kurt at Vel lately and he had some interesting things to say about their subs with Klipsch speaks.

He actually recommended the CT-150 over the HGS subs with heritage Klipsch's. He said that the efficiency of the 150 makes it a better match to the heritage (la scalas and Cornwalls in my case).

He said that the HGS line, although among their best subs, don't keep up well with Klipsch speaks. I know this board has raved about the the HGS's, but what do you guys think of the CT-150?? I'm hoping to listen to one this weekend, but I'm wondering how they match with your Heritage speakers.

Any help is always appreciated

Jeff

jeff, was that u that was looking also at their SPL?

yea that's what he told me 2, although he did say the hgs-18 would do fine w/ it's higher spl (& i have to agree so far).

but yea u could buy 4 CT for the price of 1 hgs-18 (i don't have the space for even 2).

i've heard they're pretty good on the spl basis. pretty close there to the paradigm pw2200 there. may want to consider those svs

2. 4 of those would be easier w/ the cylinder design biggrin.gif

Boa,

Yes, Kurt did also tell me that the hgs-18 would be fine. . .and you're also correct that I can't afford one smile.gif

I'm going to give a 150 a try soon. I had planned on a spl-12 or hgs-15, but it looks like I could get 2 ct-150's for that cost. anyone have experiences with the 150?? do they indeed work well with Klipsch??

Jeff
